Arsenal Ponder Real Madrid raid

When James Rodriguez broke into the scenes at the 2014 World Cup, it was quite clear how much of a talent he was, he finished the tournament with the most goals scored. James was tipped for big things, and then Real Madrid came calling and of course as you'd expect, James answered and completed the transfer.

It's yielded mixed results for both the Colombian and Real Madrid, with James having had some great periods with the club, and also some dry spells. He reportedly fell out with manager, Zinedane Zidane and has since found the going tough. James Rodriguez was sent on loan to Bayern and likewise proved a masterclass at some points and a liability at some others. Inconsistency has been a problem with the Colombian playmaker and Real Madrid have since been willing to offload him.

According to a Spanish based newspaper, 'Marca', Arsenal are among a number of teams pondering a move for his signature, with Juventus another of them. Real Madrid may be willing to do deal in the price region of €40m, taking in a significant loss on the transfer fee they paid AS Monaco back in the summer of 2014.

This comes amongst a host of transfer rumours as the rumour mills continue to churn them out.
