AS Roma table bid for Mhikitaryan

When Arsenal signed Nicolas Pepe alongside four(4) others in the summer, it was imperative that a number of players would have to make way as Unai Emery, who was still Arsenal manager then, had a largely oversized squad.

Henrik Mhikitaryan was among a host of players to depart the club, albeit only on a loan deal, and one with no option to buy. The Armenian left for Italian outfit AS Roma where he has largely impressed, tallying two(2) goals and six(6) assists in sixteen(16) appearances.

AS Roma have unsurprisingly been keen to make his loan deal permanent, with a number of unsuccessful attempts having been previously made, rumours have it that Arsenal have quoted Roma a price of €25m and have refused to bulge on that valuation, proving a major stumbling block in negotiations.

An Italian based media name 'CorSport' have now reported that AS Roma have again returned and have submitted a bid of €17m including bonuses. That is quite some way away from Arsenal's reported valuation but it remains to be seen if Arsenal will accept the reported bid.
