Carlos Soler makes a lot of sense

If you did a quick question and answer with a number of Arsenal fans about which position Arsenal needed to strengthen more, you'd get a couple of answers, of which the defence would surely be one, and of course the centre midfield position, or more accurately, the no.8 position.

Aaron Ramsey was quite the only center midfielder with box-to-box ability we had and after running down his contract left for Juventus in the summer. Since then, his services have been sorely missed, It is pitiful that all of Arsenal's first choice midfielders cannot account for five(5) goals all season. They have not been exactly creative either.

Enter Carlos Soler, 'Sky Sports' reported an interest in the Valencia midfielder from Arsenal. Carlos Soler has largely impressed in the middle of the park for Valencia this season. He has a great mix of creative balance and defensive diligence.

His statistics on the surface don't look too impressive but he has chipped in with four(4) this season, more than Arsenal's starting midfielders it begs to be said. He has also created a good amount of chances as he leads Valencia's creativity chart. He's a right footer, but with a solid left foot too that enables him play on any side of the pitch.

He may not be the world class player many would crave for right now but he's no doubt a solid player with lots of potential, and at just twenty-three(23) can only get better, and Arsenal must make the move. This comes amongst host of transfer rumours swirling around as you'd expect. Visit our transfer news summary for every bit.
