A look at Arsenal's incredible Nigerian contingent

Arsenal have had quite a number of Nigerian's put on the illustrious red and white Jersey. From the likes of Nnwankwo Kanu to the recently departed Alex Iwobi. It's not showing any signs of slowing down with the Arsenal academy still churning out Nigerian talents. Let's take a look at some talented Nigerian's on the books at Arsenal.

It's must be said that this players posses British citizenships and could ultimately follow in the footsteps of the likes of Dele Alli in representing England instead. However they are all Nigerian natives and of course could play for Nigeria so let's get down to the list.

1.Bukayo Saka

It would be criminal if Bukayo Saka wasn't number one(1) on this list. He headlines them in that he's already a first team regular. A very talented teenager who has shown his versatility this term after being deployed as a full back for most part. He has registered ten(10) assists and three(3) goals so far this season. Only still eighteen(18) years of age.

2.Folarin Balogun

The talented striker is still with the youth team, he has however been a stand out player there and calls are already being made to bring him up to the first team. The team isn't lacking in strikers at the moment hence a promotion is being delayed, but with a departure looking likely in the summer, he could get his chance. Balogun is still at the young age of seventeen(17).

3.Miguel Azeez

You're not called 'The Ronaldihno of Hale end' if you're not truly talented. That's Miguel's nickname, he's a hugely talented player with incredible dribbling ability. A midfielder by trade, similar to Axel Witsel. It may not be any longer before we see him in the first team. He's only 17 years old.

4.James Olayinka

The midfielder joined Northampton town on loan in January. It's difficult to gauge his progress as we've not really had a proper sight of his performances, he's however tall and very athletic and could prove a useful tool In a midfield lacking dynamism like Arsenal's current batch. He's 19 years of age.

Arsenal have an abundance of talent but as we know, not all talents live up to the promise they show in their teens, Arsenal must handle this badge, not just the Nigerian's this time but all the talent coming out from Hale end, with absolute care and wisdom.
