Arsenal may well have the Aubameyang answers

Pierre-Emerick Aubametang's contract discussions have stalled, he's reportedly unwilling to sign an extension amidst concerns over the long term direction of the club, that's according to one set of reports, with the other saying he's demanding a bigger deal than is being offered. Whatever the case maybe, Aubameyang will need replacing should he depart.

Many potential replacements have been touted by fans and pundits alike. From Wolves' Raul Jimenez to Celtic's Odsonne Edouard, and even Real Madrid's Luka Jovic. Names have been tabled and possibilities looked into, and understandably so.

Arsenal however could have the answer they already look for. Enter Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Martinelli has showed a terrific goal scoring knack, high level of anticipation and just about everything a striker needs. He's many times been deployed as a left winger but his best outings in an Arsenal shirt have come through the middle. Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta may well be up to a master stroke should he move Martinelli central, this would in turn free up space on the Left wing for Bukayo Saka who's spells at Left Back looks to be up soon.

Gabriel Martinelli may well prove better than every of the options being weighed, with 10 goals, and the best part is we wouldn't have to pay for his services and we can instead channel the resources to other much needed positions. Eddie Nketiah must not also be overlooked, he has shown good goal scoring instincts even though he's still quite raw.
